As a child, Demie didn’t have many good male role models and didn’t value men very much. It was right next door to a meth lab and across the street from an apartment complex with a meth lab.

Around the corner from her was the Black Eyed Peas recording studio. She said she grew up in a home with much fighting and yelling. As a girl, she ran away from home to get away from her abusive family.

Of course, she has said that her family is “very supportive” and “there for each other.” Demie was picked on by her peers from elementary school through high school. During that time, she said she was “quite a loner.” She became active in the arts as a high school senior.

In high school, she dazzled sunglasses from Downtown LA and created Mainframe, a famous sunglass brand worn by celebrities like JLo and Nicki Minaj.

She also wrote songs and designed a costume for one of Minaj’s music videos. She planned to become a fashion designer but changed her mind after an art school orientation in NY.

Professional Life

Demie began writing songs and poetry at the age of twelve. She made her first on-screen appearance in 2013 as a video vixen in Azealia Banks’ music video for her “ATM Jam” song. Later, she appeared in a short film for a friend. 

Although she was selected to play the lead role in “The Godmother,” a biopic about the Colombian drug lord Griselda Blanco, the project was ultimately canceled.

However, she eventually made her professional acting debut in 2015 with a role in the short film “Miles.” After finding an agent who represented her, she landed exciting guest-starring roles in shows like Ray Donovan, Love, and The OA.

In the second season of The OA, she portrayed Ingrid, a bilingual gamer. In 2017, she appeared in her first feature film, playing the character of Merideth in the comedy-drama “Brigsby Bear.”

The following year, she portrayed Esmee, a shy skateboarder who was also the protagonist’s love interest, in the movie “Mid90s.” She also directed the music video for JMSN’s song “Talk is Cheap.”
