“The Sun” reported that Aubreigh Wyatt’s mother claimed that four girls bullied her to death at her school.
The names of these girls circulated widely on the internet, even though she never publicly named them. A text message from Aubreigh Wyatt to her mother that detailed what she claimed to have been bullied was also shared online.
Heather Wyatt’s Lawsuit
Aubreigh Wyatt’s mother is actively seeking justice for her daughter’s death and has shared her story widely on social media to raise awareness about bullying.
The parents of four girls allegedly involved in Wyatt’s case filed a lawsuit against her mother, claiming defamation and slander.
According to a report by Newsweek, the complaint stated that the plaintiffs’ minor children have been receiving threatening and insulting messages as a direct result of Heather Wyatt’s slanderous online posts.
The court found that Heather’s social media accounts posed a danger to the four girls and ordered her to shut them down on July 1, 2024. This meant she would no longer be able to advocate for justice for her deceased daughter.

Ultimately, on July 16, the parents dropped their lawsuit. Vicksburg News reported that the parents could file another lawsuit later since the case was dismissed without prejudice.
