5: Lake Hartwell Um.... where'd it go? There is distinctly less lake than there was before the summer started. We are at least 20 feet below as of the last update. Those who own lakefront homes have a lot more beach and a lot less water. A word of caution to those who go swimming: There's lots of old trees and sticks out there you don't want to run into. Or jump on top of.

4: Cat Bus Route Right.... about that... Yeah. The University, with the good intentions to decrease gas consumption and improve the CAT Bus system, "re-vamped" the on-campus route. Shall we just say efficiency still needs to be significantly improved? There are a few kinks to be worked out, so make sure you take a good look at the route before you hop on.

3: Dunkin' Donuts Who doesn't love doughnuts? Yum, yum, yum! The city of Clemson has added to the number of chain restaurants that are slowly consuming the area with a brand spankin' new Dunkin' Donuts where the old Bojangle's on Clemson Boulevard used to be. When the parking gets you down, go have a doughnut, and it just might lift your black moods just a smidgen.

2: Parking? What parking? Over the course of the past few months, Clemson students have lost four parking areas: part of Lee hall, the West Library, Poole Ag Building, and the gravel lot behind the Brooks Center. In an effort to reach the Top 20, Clemson is tacking on a few more academic success-oriented buildings to the campus. Students, you might want to give yourself 45 minutes to find parking.

1: No more Astro For those of you who never experienced the magic of the Astro, you have my sympathy. Many of us will miss those rickety banged up seats, crappy thin walls and suspiciously sticky carpet. The Astro III Theatre opened on Jan. 21, 1971, with a showing of "Tora, Tora, Tora." After 30 years of operation, the Astro had its last showing, "Wanted," on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008.
