Purnell leads Tigers to ACC title game for the first time since 1962

Anticipation from Clemson fans was high for the ACC tournament, as the Tigers finished third in the ACC this year behind only North Carolina and Duke. Despite continued improvement in the program, head coach Oliver Purnell was only 1-5 in ACC tournament games.

In the spring semester, the Clemson Tiger football coaching staff signed a landmark recruiting class that will undoubtedly have a tremendous impact on the field next year and many years down the road. National Signing Day saw 19 letters of intent signed and faxed to an ecstatic Clemson coaching staff lead by head coach Tommy Bowden and recruiting coordinator Billy Napier.

If you are a fan of Carolina Cup or Bonaroo, Clemson baseball tailgating will be the time of your life. Clemson tailgates are arguably the best in the nation, and I don't care what event that might be.

If there are any sports fans that have not heard the name Ani Mijacika, they should start getting accustomed to hearing it. Mijacika, a sophomore on Clemson University women's tennis team, had a phenomenal freshman year, which garnered attention not just in the college game, but in the tennis world.

There was a time when baseball dominated my interest in sports. I religiously watched every Braves game and even cut out statistics from the Sunday paper to memorize. From seven-year-old t-ball to high school, baseball was king. There was a time that I chose baseball over life itself.
Men's swimming ends season strong

The Clemson men's swimming and diving team tried their best to succeed at this year's ACC Championships without a head coach. The men traveled down to Atlanta and the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center to take part in this year's meet. Going into the meet, the Clemson men looked strong in the ACC, only having lost to two teams in their regular season, North Carolina and Virginia.
