Tigers win on last-second boot

Harper, Kelly lead heroic game-winning drive against archrival USC.

By Daniel Taylor

Rivalry games tend to bring out the best and worst in all of us. Clemson and Carolina fans experience an increase in hostility all week. Anticipation grows exponentially with every passing day. Players and coaches pull out all of the stops in an effort to win the bragging rights for the next year.

Leaving on a high note

By Alan Smith

It seems like only yesterday when I arrived at Clemson University as a freshman in my old white Volvo (retired as of Sept. 2006) after a really long 30-mile journey from Greenville, ready to move into the luxurious confines of Benet Hall. But now, here I am after the best four and a half years of my life (yes, I stayed an extra semester and I'm not ashamed to admit it), facing the sad realization that in a mere three weeks, I will be a graduate of this fine University.

Tigers win Magus Cup

By Daniel Taylor

Four weeks ago, Clemson's club football team faced a clear scenario. North Carolina's club team had already defeated the Tigers 26-20 in double overtime at Chapel Hill. If Clemson was able defeat UNC team by more than six points at home, the Tarheels would be forced to return to Tiger Town for the Southern Collegiate Club Football Association Championship game.

Orange Memoirs

Thoughts from a former sports editor

By Perrin Collins

Seventeen years ago, my uncles "Chip" and David Fort would shower me with gifts. By Brandon Boatwright

The Clemson men's basketball team continued its early season dominance with wins over Gardner-Webb and Purdue this past week. The Tigers have won their first six games and have climbed to No. 18 in both polls. Clemson also improved to 23-1 in the month of November since Head Coach Oliver Purnell became head coach five seasons ago.

NFL Postseason Preview

By Ryan Launius

Since this is my last article of the season before the NFL enters the playoffs, I have decided to skip the fantasy beat this week and make my predictions concerning the current playoff contenders. Perhaps the most obvious contender is the team that has already managed to make the playoffs with five weeks remaining in the season.

Lady Tigers bounce back in Coors Classic

Women's hoops defeats Rice and Siena.

The Lady Tigers basketball team was off to the Rockies last weekend to compete in the Coors Classic held in Boulder, Co. The teams that competed in this tournament also included Colorado, Rice and Siena. The Lady Tigers came out of the gate with a bang when they took on the Rice Owls in the first round.
