Need some plans for Saturday afternoon? Head down to Littlejohn and check out the car show hosted by the Clemson Sports Car Club (CSCC).
CSCC is hosting the third annual Clemson MotorSports Festival on April 17 at Littlejohn Coliseum.
Automotive enthusiasts from across the upstate visit Clemson to showcase vehicles of all types, from vintage models and “beaters” to muscle cars and souped-up racers. Vehicles will be judged in two classes: standard class and selected class.
The standard class is divided into eight categories: domestic, import, European, race prepped, muscle car, beater, vintage and truck/4x4/SUV.
Participants may only vote for categories in which they’ve entered. This vote is not open to the general public.
Selected class awards are open to entries in all categories.
These awards include Best in Show, Best in Class and Club Choice.
Participants and the general public select Best in Show, and the members of CSCC select Club Choice.
According to their Web site, performance shops will be at the show as well such as BMW-M Performance, DDM Performance, Top Dead Center, AV Engineering and Stable Performance.
Upon registration closing, officials will determine the top five car brands in attendance, and participants with entries in each specific brand will vote for Best in Class.
Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. and will last until noon. The cost of registration is $10 for CSCC members and $15 for non-members.
You can also register early online at http://clemsonmotorsportsfestival.com/.
The show opens at noon on Saturday and is free for all spectators. Prizes will be raffled off throughout the day, and food vendors will be at the event.
Awards and raffle winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at 4:00 p.m.
The Clemson Sports Car Club was established in 1968 as an organization where its members could race and enter autocross events. Members also drive trucks and four door sedans.
